About Ranjith Kamity, MD
Ranjith Kamity, MD, FAAP, CHCQM is a board-certified neonatologist at New York-Presbyterian, with extensive expertise in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine, and healthcare quality management. He serves as the Director of Neonatology at New York-Presbyterian Queens. He was the founding Program Director of the Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine Fellowship Program at NYU Grossman Long Island School of Medicine before moving to New York-Presbyterian.
Dr. Kamity’s clinical interests include neonatal dysphagia, aerodigestive disorders, intrauterine growth restriction, and healthcare quality Improvement. He pioneered the use of cold milk therapy for dysphagia in preterm infants and established a comprehensive neonatal dysphagia program at his previous institution.
In addition to his clinical and research roles, Dr. Kamity is a dedicated educator and mentor, actively involved in teaching medical students and pediatric residents. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and a member of multiple professional societies, including the Society for Pediatric Research, Eastern Society for Pediatric Research, and the Dysphagia Research Society.
